Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB) as Aroclors in Soils by GC-MS / GC-ECD
Results are normally reported as Aroclor 1242.
Methodology – Extraction of an as received soil sample into hexane/acetone (50:50) followed by gas chromatography using mass spectrometric (GC-MS) detection for identification of polychlorinated biphenyls and electron capture detection (GC-ECD) for quantitation if present.
