Phenols in Soils by HPLC
The method includes resorcinol, phenol, methylphenols, dimethylphenols, 1-naphthol and trimethylphenols.
Chlorophenols are not detected by this method.
Methodology – Extraction of an as received soil sample into a 60:40 methanol/water mixture, followed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) determination using electrochemical detection.
